New Software Released (Version 5)
By Admin 2015-10-24
After 2 years of design and development, the Marlowe Online Server WEB Interface has been upgraded.
The majority of changes do not change the interface, but improve the code quality. The interface changes are minor and mostly fix bugs, or offer minimal enhancement.
The two main aspects of version 5 are:
Greater code organisation
Nested folders for even better organisation
Sub Classes in Sub Folder
Special Folder and File name markers that control when files are added, such as view only, or view/edit mode.
Image files have URLs added to variables within the class
Special name markers also allow Automatic Super Classes and inheritance, where sub folder classes inherit from parent folders
Essentially, JSCB allows hundreds of small manageable files to become one single class, that bares so much ressemblance to the original that debugging is easy, and does so much automatically, it rapidly speeds up development.
It also imposes its own structure on the code, since the structure of the code is used to generate the classes.
Where OO is regarded as the Fourth Generation Programming Language, I feel JSCB is the closest I have come to experiencing the Fifth Generation.
